With just two more sleeps to go to our All Ireland final dream day, the build-up cranks up big-time this evening with a few notable media events.

At about 6.30pm today – Wednesday – you can catch on the RTE Six One News a piece by Marty Morrissey with Tony Kelly and Robbie Hogan when they recently visited Ballyea National School.

And then at 7.30pm, doors will open in the West County Hotel for the Clare FM Up for the Match live special when Derrick Lynch and Syl O’Connor will be interviewing a wide range of personalities within the club and Clare GAA in general, such as Clare joint manager Gerry O’Connor, Brendan Bugler, Tommy Guilfoyle and the Doora-Barefield triumvirate of Seanie McMahon, Jamesie O’Connor and Christy O’Connor.

Every member of the club and the public is invited along. Again, although the show doesn’t go on the air until 8pm, patrons are advised to arrive early to ensure the best seating.

The Clare FM team successfully staged a similar programme in The Local Inn on the eve of Ballyea’s Munster club final win over Glen Rovers, and this evening’s show will likewise feature music, competitions and other forms of entertainment.

Among the prizes on the night will be two complementary tickets to Friday’s All Ireland final double bill in Croker.
