Féile Weekend has arrived for our Ballyea U14 Camogie Girls and history is in the making as this is the very first team of girls from Ballyea GAA to achieve the honour of representing County Clare in this All Ireland Competition.
They have just headed off to County Galway and are being hosted by Kilconieron GAA Club for the 2018 All Ireland Féile Competition.
Their first match is at 5pm this evening in Killimordaly GAA Club just outside Athenry, followed by a 7.30pm match on the same grounds.
Their third match is at 10am on Saturday morning in their host club Kilconieran GAA just outside Loughrea.
If they qualify for the semi finals / finals on Sunday, these will be held near Claremorris just across the border into County Mayo.
Best of luck to all the girls and mentors from the entire Community of Ballyea and beyond.
Ballyea is doing us proud again at All Ireland Level...girl power this time!
Thanks again to all who sponsored the girls and a big thank you to Catherine Carmody, Miceal Neylon and Tom Costelloe for all your hard work in getting them this far.
UP BALLYEA!
